Talc/Graphite Blend (80/20) is commonly used in many new mechanical plate and vacuum planters for increased lubricity and wear protection. Designed to improve the lubricity that is sometimes lost with some talc powders.
The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) of Health Canada prohibits the use of graphite or talc when used with neonicotinoid insectisides; clothianidin, thiamethoxam, or imidacloprid. Users of seed flow lubricants have the responsibility to comply with all local and national regulations.
